Fairhope, Alabama, is known for its oak-lined streets and lush Gulf Coast landscape. Trees are a big part of the Eastern Shore's natural beauty, and healthy, well-maintained trees keep your property looking great all year. But when palm fronds fade, limbs start reaching too far—or worse, a tree becomes diseased or weakened—it’s time to call in someone who knows how to handle it safely.
That’s where Hel-Co comes in. We’re a local tree service company that’s been working in Baldwin County for over a decade, offering professional results at reasonable rates. Whether you’ve got a tree crowding your roof, dangerous limbs hanging over your driveway, or an unsightly dead tree that needs to go, we’re the crew to call in Fairhope.

You've probably heard of both tree trimming and tree pruning and maybe even thought they were just two different terms for the same service. However, while trimming and pruning both involve cutting back parts of a tree, they serve different purposes:
Trimming is mostly about shaping the tree, removing dead or dying fronds from palm trees, and keeping branches from growing into unwanted places—like your roof, fence, or sidewalk. It offers practical benefits while improving the aesthetics of your tree.
Pruning is a service more related to the health and structure of a tree. We carefully remove damaged, diseased, or poorly placed limbs to encourage better long-term growth and reduce the risk of decay or breakage.
If you’re not sure what your trees need, we’ll stop by, take a look, and give you a no-nonsense recommendation based on our years of experience as local Baldwin County arborists.
Some trees outgrow their space. Others die or weaken over time, becoming a safety issue. If a tree on your property is leaning, dying, or simply standing in the way of new plans, Hel-Co can help you take it down safely and quickly.
We remove trees that are:
We use bucket trucks, rigging systems, climbing gear, and years of hands-on experience to make even the trickiest tree jobs go smoothly. Our team is committed to going in with surgical precision to remove trees with the least possible interference with the surrounding property. And if you want to go one step further, we also offer stump grinding for a clean finish.
Hel-Co is based right here in Baldwin County, and we take pride in working with property owners across the Eastern Shore. That local connection matters—we understand Fairhope’s soil, weather, and most commonly grown tree types better than any out-of-town crew.
From downtown Fairhope to the bluff, from Fly Creek to Highway 181, we know this area and what it takes to keep your trees healthy and your yard or commercial property tidy and safely maintained.
For our team, tree work isn’t just about jumping right in and cutting—it’s about doing things the right way, with a plan, the right tools, and respect for your property.
