Tree Removal

Yes. If a tree is dead, leaning, crowding structures, or creating a safety concern, removal may be the best solution. Hel-Co plans removals carefully and focuses on controlled takedowns and protecting surrounding property.

Yes—trees near structures are common in Baldwin County. When performing tree removals near homes and other structures, we plan carefully and use controlled methods to reduce risk to your buildings and other property.  We use the least equipment necessary for a safe and effective tree removal.

Pricing commonly depends on the size and condition of the tree, how close it is to structures, access for equipment, and what cleanup you want included.

Absolutely.  We specialize in using lightweight equipment to help minimize yard impact during the removal process whenever possible.

Tree Trimming, Pruning, and Tree Health

Trimming is typically about aesthetic shaping of the tree and maintaining clearance (like keeping growth away from roofs, fences, and power lines). Pruning is more health-focused—removing damaged or diseased limbs and improving structure so a tree will be balanced and can grow stronger over time.

Yes. Hel-Co offers pruning services and also provides arborist-style evaluations that consider tree health and risk.

Yes—palm tree trimming is an important part of our trimming services.  We are experienced with maintaining palm trees along the Alabama Gulf Coast.

Hel-Co does offer maintenance trims that help keep not only trees but also shrubs and hedges at optimal health and appearance.  We make it easy to boost your curb appeal and keep your plants looking tidy.

Not every damaged tree has to come down. Hel-Co offers “tree surgery” in certain situations—assessing the tree and, when possible, removing diseased parts and strengthening branches (for example, with bracing) to help prevent further decline.

Stump Removal and Stump Grinding

Yes. If you want the stump gone for safety, appearance, or future landscaping plans, Hel-Co offers stump removal.  We have special equipment designed to make the job efficient and safe.

Yes—Hel-Co offers stump grinding and stump removal. If your goal is to replant, re-sod, or smooth out the area, mention that when you request your quote.

It depends on what was done (grinding vs. full removal), the size of the stump, and your landscaping goals. When you call, tell us what you’re planning (grass, planting, hardscape, etc.) so we can recommend the most practical approach to achieve the desired results.
